While hiking in Lantau Island (Hong Kong) one sunny afternoon, we stumbled upon this flower!

I plucked out a stalk and kept it in a mineral water bottle with some water inside. It bloomed the next morning!

This plant is really sturdy! It lasted a week in the bottle before I returned to Singapore and found a pot and planted it in soil.

Ever since, it’s been blooming at least once every two weeks. :) Love the pretty pink flower! The stem is slowly turned pink too…

This flower was what started my love for gardening. When researching online for ways to take care of this plant, I stumbled upon a photo of a Lithops plant, and fell in love with Lithops (and other succulents). Have never looked back since. :)
